Nature's Glory
Color that is layered and modulated in late day provides a warm illuminated pallet and density of color that is astonishing.
Graffiti's Happenstance Inspires
Graffiti, mixed authors and shared spaces produce startling surprises in composition that is challenging and beautiful. By strengthening and deepening the color these works are free from the dulling affects of time and nature.
Urban Landscape
My images from Times Square merge coincidence with intentionality of built spaces, and the flow of people interacting. They are framed by the juxtaposition of shapes, signs, reflections from marquees and building facades and the people frozen in time.
Abstraction and Play
Abstractions derived from my images uncover underlying compositional surprises in my work.
My Work
At nearly 80 years I am familiar with the beauty and magnificent system of regeneration of multiple starts, midlife moments and finales. You can see this in each direction I have taken in my work. Just as a stand of Chokeberry shrubs interspersed with Ivy can define a fall palette of dense color and contrasting light, so can a group of glass and stone buildings provide a context for living cultures forever flowing with vitality and wonder.
